The educational program at Seeds of Hope
It is more than six months since entrepreneurs Remco and Daniel returned from their project at Seeds of Hope Children’s Home (SoH). At this orphanage they have set up an educational project, which provides 80 kids from SoH with English education and computer lessons on a daily basis. To guarantee the continuity of the lessons the entrepreneurs hired a supervisor, Irwan, and two teachers, Mira and Feny.
Because it has been a while it is interesting to give you an update about how the educational program has been going the last half year. Irwan, whom we speak to on a weekly basis, gave us an update about his experience as the supervisor of the program.
To cite Irwan: “The first half year has been very challenging and instructive. After some struggles in the beginning, we are very happy that the program is running smoothly. Since we started the program, I noticed that the level of English of the children has increased a lot! Furthermore, all the children are enjoying the lessons very much. We are very grateful that EFFA have set this up and we hope that they will support us for many more years to come.”
EFFA would like to thank Irwan again for his hard work and we want to emphasize the fact that he fulfills the role as supervisor outstandingly. Also, we would like to thank the teachers Mira and Feny for their fruitful lessons and the daily dose of joy that they bring to all the children of Seeds of Hope!
Below, some pictures can be found that Irwan took during the lessons.
